A regional reforestation project

Long dry periods and climate extremes have taken their toll on our once lush German forests. As a result of ongoing issues, large sections of forests have been cut down, further wrecking havoc in these areas. To counter the devastation that has ensued, and because of our love and appreciation of nature, we initiated our regional reforestation project, starting from a single sprout. Join us.

The first 11,000 seedlings

Our regional reforestation project went from idea to execution in a few short months, starting with 11,000 seedlings from regional tree nurseries ready to be planted. From our hands to the grounds of the Hinterlandwald forest around Hofgut Mappen, these seedlings were planted with hope and promise for a greener future so that generations after us can continue to enjoy the unique beauty of German forests.

The first 11.000

We are particularly proud of the fact that we were able to start the first large planting campaign in the 'Hinterlandswald' as early as the beginning of February this year.
Within just one week we were able to plant 11,000 seedlings on an area of 5.1 ha with our forestry company!

The beginning has been made and we are already looking forward to literally creating a new habitat for the local nature.

Albert Einstein once said, “No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.” For our love of nature and the planet, and for our love of the gifts nature gives us, we truly take this to heart. LÉGÈRE HOTEL Taunusstein welcomes the smallest guests in our insect hotel. At the same time, our Leipzig rooftop hosts two beehives, and herb gardens can be found in many of our locations, adorning food and drinks with fresh garnishes.

The GreenSign Certification is practical and specifically designed for the hotel industry. Conceived by InfraCert, an institute for sustainable development in the hotel industry, the hotels certified with GreenSign uphold sustainable hotel management and have met the criteria to stand behind their ecological claim, social commitment and economic success. In accordance with our self-directed commitments to sustainable business practices, we are proud to have achieved this certification.
